Viet Nam Highlights Trade & Investment Opportunities at Cambridge International Forum

Vietnamese Trade Representative to the UK presented Viet Nam’s latest trade and investment opportunities at the “Trade & Investment Opportunities – New and Emerging Markets” Forum held at the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Manufacturing.

Representing Viet Nam, Mr. Lê Đình Bá, Counsellor – Trade Representative from Vietnamese Embassy in London, delivered a detailed economic outlook highlighting Viet Nam’s GDP growth of 7.09% in 2024, a trade surplus of USD 24.8 billion, strong consumer demand, and a fast-recovering tourism sector.

Mr. Bá emphasised Viet Nam’s growing role as an ASEAN manufacturing hub and a trusted partner in global supply chains, supported by 17 free trade agreements and a business-friendly environment. Key opportunities were shared in the digital economy, renewable energy, high-tech manufacturing, healthcare, and green industries.

The event, attended by businesses and trade experts from the UK and beyond, also featured presentations from Malaysia, Peru, Portugal, and the Arab region, followed by panel discussions and networking to foster new partnerships.

“Viet Nam welcomes high-quality, sustainable investment and looks forward to expanding cooperation with UK businesses,” Mr. Bá stated.
